                                          Aquatic plants
 

                            The plants that are found in water are called aquatic plants. Lotuses are aquatic plants. The water lily is another aquatic plant. The duckweed and the water cabbage are some more aquatic plants. Aquatic plants are of three different types:
1. floating plants











                         some aquatic plants are found floating on the water surface. The water hyacinth and the duck weed are such floating plants.

These plants have the following adaptive features:
Ø  1.Some of them have leaves with bulbous base that is filled with air
Ø  2.They have light weight.
3.Their body is spongy to reduce weight.
